Following the successful workwise accommodation pilot in 2013/14, Social Services set out on a programme of implementing this working practice across further suitable sites to improve flexibility across the workforce and also lower costs by reducing the asset base.
- Government Buildings M Block – workwise refurbished 20/06/14 for 32 workwise stations.
- Argyll Road vacated 27/06/14 which had an annual cost of approximately £60k. Welfare Rights and FAO teams, 24 staff, were relocated in M Block government buildings.
- 94 Conway Road vacated 29/08/14 which had an annual cost of approximately £45k. Staff relocated to various sites.
- Meadow Lodge, Colwyn Bay vacated 31/03/14, had an annual cost of approximately £3k. Staff were relocated within other day services projects.
- Canolfan Marl vacated 31/03/15 which had an annual cost of £44k.
Staff relocated to various sites.
- Llys Dyfrig multi-disciplinary offices, opened 26/08/14 with 26 Social Services workwise stations, staff from both 94 Conway Road and Canolfan Marl work from this site.
- Civic Lodge refurbished 02/03/15 to provide 10 workwise stations.
- SPOA multi-disciplinary office opened at Colwyn Bay Leisure Centre 12/06/14 with 34 workwise stations.
- CWD team moved from Civic Mews to offices within Gogarth School 25/08/14 with 16 workwise stations
This has had a positive effect on accessibility of senior management.
All section managers and team leaders are now “agile” workers, using the various redeveloped sites for their day to day work. This has naturally helped to make key staff more accessible.
