Sustainable financial plans deliver strategic objectives and best possible value for money

Funding is limited, so we have to be confident that we run our services wisely to make sure the people of Conwy are getting value for money from Social Services. We need financial plans that are fit for purpose now, and looking ahead to the future, to meet the needs of our service users within the budget we are given. The development of various panels in Conwy has proved very useful in making sure that services are cost effective. [Read more…]

Our workforce is recruited, managed, and developed effectively to deliver the best possible outcomes for services users

Any business or organisation, large or small, is nothing without their workforce. They’re the people who turn up every day to make sure the work gets done.

One of the most significant developments within the Conwy workforce this last year has been around building support networks between staff. This has helped to develop and share best practice, set standards for supervision and sometimes more informally, to encourage teams to work together and be innovative in the way they find solutions to problems. Every type of business has to deal with supply and demand – balancing what they can provide against what people need. In these challenging economic times, there’s a great need to operate our services as efficiently as possible. This means making sure we’ve got enough staff to meet needs and that the staff are well trained, and have the skills and knowledge to get the job done swiftly, without wasting time or resources.
